Laja Recently?

I'm headed to Rosarito Sunday with some friends to visit someone who recently moved down. The friends I'm going with are seriously interested in eating at Laja. I definitely appreciate especially good food and good wine, but, at about $100 a person it seems to me that it ought to be spectacular!

I would definitely be grateful for any feedback. Has anybody eaten there recently? If so, any advice? Is it worth the money? I understand cost is a relative thing, but in my case, while I'm nowhere near poverty stricken, $100 is a significant amount to pay for lunch!

Definitely worth it, for at least a great one time experience

The wine is the variable, no different from any fine restaurant, you go for the quality wine and the food cost sort of slips into the background.

Last time I was there the meal cost was about $50 (US) but the wine really cranked it up.

We had a bottle of Xanic Merlot that was sensational, but not cheap.
(hey, Xanic ain't cheap at Costco)

Definitely worth it. Closed Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays. They open ~ 1:30 the other days.

Don't spent Bush's stimulus money. That's supposed to stay in the USA. Wouldn't be enough anyway.
