Erendira Edijo

Does anyone know where the northern end of the Edijo is in Erendira? (ie) At what point would land be for sale that would not be edijo land? Is the area around Punta Cabras considered edijo?

I had one friend loose his cliffside home in that area to the ejido, they confiscated it. Another friend looked into the Punta Cabra area but gave up after being unable to find out about the ownership.

Ouch. Is it that place litterly on the cliffs?http://www.bajalodgingerendira.com/

Anyone ever see the "Rancho Bates" place in Cabras along larger (I've heard the locals call it "long beach" or "playa grande") beach?

I know that house.

My now deseased neighbor, who was a retired CHP, built that home years ago. The siding that was used was actually the form plywood from the building of the San Diego Stadium (Qualcomm).

After he passed his worthless son had it and was trying to sell it but had not paid the lease in some time. We went to look at it for a potential purchase, but the house was in serious disrepair plus we couldn't find the landlord and the other tenants in the area were'nt saying much. This was about 15 years ago. Maybe about 6 years ago I saw it for sale again, then remodeled the following year, heckuva view from up there...

We ended up building in La Bocana de Santo Tomas for half of what he wanted.

No, that's not the cliff house I know. I stayed there about 25 years ago,it wasn't that close to the cliff and it was owned by Dr. John Cherry. He loved to surf at the river outlet about a mile south.

All ejidos are supposed to have a governing body. Find out who the head or "board" is, and ask them. If they are dodgy, uncommunicative, hostile or ambiguous, it should give you an idea of what to expect. It would be absolutely necessary to go and ask a lot of questions of many homeowners and rancheros, and then follow-up at records offices (where - I don't know) and see if the information reported to you is correct or has a documented foundation.

Wilderone is spot on. As far as where to follow up, I believe that would be the Catastro in Ensenada.
