A story written in the sand
Here's a shot I took from the last trip. Came upon this image between the dunes... Might have been fun to see the actual event!

Once read a book on tracking. I wonder what these tracks are saying.
I imagine a bird walking and then snatched by another flying bird snatching it up.
What do you think?

Hmmmm.... I see a crow flying along and it spys a snake on the sand. The crow lands (top of photo) and walks to snake and grabs it. The snake
struggles (squiggle marks in the sand) before the crow flies off with it... That's what my highly trained suburban tracking skills tell me anyway!

I like that theory Greg, but did the snake fly there too?
My favorite tracks, and I could never have photographed it:
While looking for arrow heads near McCloud CA, I saw where the deer was walking along. Up on the little bluff, the mountain lion launch prints were
very clear. The impact on the deer's hind end pushed his feet apart. The lion's big sweeping rear paw prints showed how it took down the deer. All
these tracks ended in a pool of dried blood and a quantity of deer fur. Then drag marks into the nearby rocks. Beginning to end, about 40-50 feet.
It gave me goose bumps, and made my day

Snake and bird, yes, very possible
Happy feet definitely gets points
How about a bird, walking on the beach, stops to consider infinity, the figure eight in the sand....and Poof!!! Illumination and infinity!
