Need a Gift Delivered to San Ignacio

Does anyone have a trip to San Ignacio planned for the near future?

I have a GPS (used) that I want to send to a friend there. I hesitate to use any of the well-known 'world' delivery systems as a Mexican friend once told be that "If you send me death, use UPS." I ignored his humor and the package I sent took nearly three months.

We thought that we might heading that way soon, but our plans have changed.

If anyone is going south and would drop this off, I would appreciate the assistance.

Thanks.

You might want to read this thread before you consider sending anything other than paperwork via DHL....it could make your previous UPS experience look positive!

Thanks "longlegs". That's an interesting thread...and timely.

On a FWIW note, it's interesting that when I did a 'search' for DHL, UPS, etc. on this forum that particular thread did not surface. Who knows, maybe it was the "D-H-L" that threw it off.

If a used business suit couldnt make it down without a hassle, I seriously doubt that a piece of electronics could.

Beercan,

We'll be coming down through Yuma and on to Pta Bufeo next week. Probably Tue or Wed. Will that work?

bufeo,

If your plan with beercan doesn't work out I may be able to helpyou in June. You would have to mail the package to my daugher in seattle. she will be her on June 10, and we are planning to visit san Ignacio then.
