Baja Bed and Breakfast-- La Paz

Just spent a night at this great place-- my new favorite in La Paz!

It is on Calle Madero just 1/2 block from the plaza, across the street from Bufalo BBQ, and less than a block from Tres Virgenes. The sign on the front of the 3 story yellow building that sits mid-block is easy to miss, so this hotel has been a well kept secret.

The rooms are clean, pleasant and cheerful. The patio in back is a beauty, with a small pool, jacuzzi, and barbeque for guests to use. Well crafted rustic furniture and huge bouganvilleas contribute to the charm of the place. The first floor accomodations consist of 3 bedrooms that share a sitting area with TV, a kitchen and bathroom. Nice as single rooms at $45 each, and perfect for a group traveling together-- we hope to reserve all three for a few days when our family visits soon. There are also four new rooms with private baths in a separate building, and an apartment on the second floor of the original house.

Cecilia and Antonio, the owners, speak English fluently, and can direct you to the best in tourist activities, shopping and restaurants. They live on the third story, where breakfast is served.

Oh, and by the way, please don't go and tell everybody how great it is, because I'd be disappointed if I couldn't get a room there

Bookmarked it. Thanks for the tip. We love places like that.

Paula----

I can't seem to find any reference to "Parking"-----is there a place to park your vehicle (s)?

It looks just super.

Barry,

As with many downtown La Paz hotels, there is no parking lot. The owners park on the street out front, where they have some reserved parking, and at some time in the late afternoon you can park in the Supermercado Arramburro lot for the night, I believe.

Best to ask Cecilia for the details.
