Is there any lodging in La Purisima and the Comondu's?

twogringos, There's a place in Comondo that rents a couple of rooms/camps, don't know the name. In Purisima supposedly there's a Bed and Breakfast.
Was gonna stay there, but couldn't find it.  Good luck.

Going by my experience, I would stay at the cute motel @ Playa Buena Ventura in Bahia Concepcion. I tried to find lodging information about La
Purisima/Comondu, in the three Baja guides I have, but nothing came up. If you gotto go to Comondu, however, Ciudad Insurgentes is not that far away
and they have lots of lodging.

As recently as March when we passed through La Purisima, we found no evidence of lodging or meals for sale. There were a few mini-marts, and two
places to buy gasoline from drums. I would expect a B and B to have some sign on the main road.

We stayed at a b&b in La Prisima in Dec and again in Feb. and it is great. It is new and owned and operated by a retired College teacher from La
Paz. Heading east on the main street it is about two or three blocks past the muni building on the left. There is a little but good restaurant in town
also.

Thanks everyone. We plan a loop from La Paz to La Purisima, then over the mountains through Comondu to Loreto and back to La Paz. We hope to spend
two nights in the smaller towns.

The Camino Real goes right through this area: Loreto to San Javier to Comondu to La Purisima to Guadalupe del Sur...

La Purisima Trip

I am headed over there in about one week from Loreto, and plan on getting lots of images through San Javier from Loreto...
Will spend about 2-3 days in the villages

Thanks Steve...We missed any signs of either place. What were the rates for accomidations?
Two gringos...your route back to LP is the good choice. I wouldn't recommend those 61 kms back east to the highway to anyone on four wheels. Kinda
fun on the motorcycles though.

The rate was $35.00 per room which can sleep 4. I think they have 5 or 6 rooms

Are you referring to the road from San Isidro back to HWY 1 near San Blas?

Hi Two Gringos!
It was so nice meeting you two when you were in Bahia Asuncion. Now we really look forward to hearing about your trip.
We did a loop a few years ago coming into La Purisima from the south and then out to Highway one just south of Bahia Conception. We really want to do
it again and also see Comondu.
Look forward to hearing about the roads, and oh, if you find the little B and B in La Purisima, we would be interested to hear if they accept pets.
