I was in CCC yesterday morning....standing in the spice department. A tall, beautiful, senorita, young enough to be my grandchild, asked me where the pimienta molida was. When I pointed she then asked me if I was a mother. A bit disarmed, I replied, "Si" and whamo she through her arms around me, gave me a buss on the cheek (eat your heart out guys) and said "Felicidades".
It was a wonderful subsitute for sons that are too far away today.
For all you stateside Moms, I hope something so surprisingly nice happens to you today!

Thank you.. This morning I was very proud to be a mom. My 2 year old and 7 years old daughters helped daddy pick out a beautiful floral arrangement for me and they made me breakfast. I also got a wonderful gift that my 7 year old made in school. They were so excited and proud of themselves (even yelling surprise when I came out of the bedroom). I would have chose this morning over going to brunch and having store bought gifts any day. :bounce:
