BOLA In June?
We are thinking of taking a trip to BOLA in June. Anyone know what the weather is like there in June? It will likly be very hot here so thinking it
might be nicer there?

We have a divided camp here at our house. I'm saying it will be hot in Bahia, but nothing like what you'll have at home. I think it would be a nice
break for you. Dern's saying that it will be hot and not much different.  Have
you checked out Mia's Bahia website yet? I've provided the link above.  Check
it out, I bet Mia will have the answer. We'll be down around the end of June, after a trip on the Andrea Lynn. Maybe we'll see you down there?

I think June is an excellent month. It's the first month you can be pretty certain of water temps in the mid 70s at least.
And the water temp is important because it WILL be hot on land.
Plus the really strong N and W winds have usually abated.

Great! Thank you everyone! We were hoping the water temps would also be good! Now we need to decide on dates & where we should stay? Some of us
have been there several times but in a different time of year & before there were as many choices of places. So we are debating between Victoria's
Costa Del Sol & the New Villas on the water? What say you other travelers? We have always enjoyed Victoria's I might add!
Paulina I will let you know when we will be there as I would really like to meet you.

I'll be looking for those dates. Check out Mia's other site, click on the Accomodations link. There are more places to choose from than ever, I guess
it just depends on your budget. I like it old school, so I would go for Casa Diaz, but that's just me.

In '05 we camped at Las Animas for a week in mid June and looking back over our journals we did not make any comments about it being too hot. So
unless you are coming from a cool area, which San Felipe is not, or you can't take the heat you should be fine.
Of course you can always head for a beach on the Pacific side if you need to cool off...

Exactly. Meme you could stretch out your vacation. Hang out in Bahia until it gets too warm, then head over to the Pacific side. We usually do that
same thing, around mid August we head over to the Pacific side to cool off a bit. It feels strange to pack a sleeping bag for the trip when we sleep
with less than a sheet in Bahia. The weather will be "just right", come on down.

Yes, we are used to the heat hear in San Felipe
We stayed all last summer & until late July the year before!
Tho last year we were in July & Aug in an AC house. Ours is all solar so no A/C
We will be in A/C again this summer. But we cannot really extend our little vacation too long. Like no more at the longest than a week I am sure!
Sorry to have to say I am not at all crazy about the Pacific side so not much desire to stay there so passing thru is quite enough!
But i think the weather seems to be promising for us at BOLA so now to get a plan in order!!! Thanks Everyone!!

However, poor Debra (aka travelpearl) passed out on the trail to Yubay and her cell phone couldn't summon any help!
Fortunately, she was wise enough to attach a Viva Baja sticker to herself and a group of Nomads on the El Camino Real found her before it was too
