military intercepts drug runners south of calafia
spent the weekend in the north to get some sun and surf. a lot of both was found, as usual.
the following is second hand info (to me) from a friend who lives where this all took place.
about 2.30am sunday morning theer was the sound of fiberglass crunching on the LOW TIDE reef. this was followed by the sound of triple 200 horsepower
outboards revving and shouts from the darkness out over the water. in the following minutes someone called the military (cops aren't reliable, ya
know!) and while men with automatic rifles were bringing bales of yesca onto the shore a navy boat eventually arrived close offshore. soon three
truckloads of army guys were chasing the dope runners through the houses and exchanging auto gunfire with their pursuers. eventually the bad guys were
cornered and apprehended.
the army finally brought a flatbed trailer to haul away the SUPER panga that was modified to have 6-8 compartments across the width of the boat and no
bench seats, a total drug runner. i don't know if the flatbed trailer was big enough, but you gotta give them credit for trying.
oh yeah, surf was pretty fun......
edit:spelling and...at sunrise the little bay was supposedly sporting bales of buds bobbing in the surf.....i thanked on of the guys for making it
safer, "gracias senior! es mas seguridad por todo!"

i didn't notice a steering wheel as i looked in before they shoo'd me away. they weren't too impressed with me taking their foto, either although the
guy with the news camera was given the grand tour.
