where do I get baja real estate tax statements

Back home in the states, when we are looking at a piece of real estate, we go to the county courthouse and get copies of all the tax statements, property assessments and property sales history for the property under consideration.

How and where is that information available in the La Paz area? Can anyone get the information or does it have to be procured by a notary or lawyer?

On a recent real estate deal that went bad, we were given copies of some title documents. How do I get ahold of the same information on another lot that is for sale?

I can go into more details in a u2u if someone can help. We are trying to find out the address of the owners of a lot and what they paid for the lot.
