It is normally the third weekend in JULY...

There have been 3 (2005, 2006, 2007) all very fun with many local activities and a special Nomad meal at the Baja Cactus Motel hosted by 'BajaCactus' (Antonio and Lorenia Muņoz).

Unfortunately, this year it seems Antonio is totally involved with Pemex issues... first to install the new monitoring equipment and now something else... I had heard from Kim Williams (owner of the Fossil, Map and Rock gift shop in El Rosario) that Antonio was running this year's festival and she even asked me to lead a caravan to Las Pintas. However, I have received no further emails from her and I have not heard from Antonio since last February.

No worries... at least you brought it up... I am disappointed that poor Antonio has been so tied up with Pemex that he hasn't posted on Nomad for several months or communicated with us... Kim said there would be a festival, but that was a few months ago and she has not responded to my last email to get some solid confirmation.

We have started our week off in July vacation with the Baja-Rosario Festival the past 3 years... so, it will be missed if it doesn't happen. Hopefully, it will return in 2009, if there isn't one this year!
