The only thing that I could find was the following:

Earthquake Report at 7:56 AM

It was in Costa Rica. I suppose that if the fault line extended your way there could be a transmission of the bump, but it seems too far to be possible. I don't see anything else nearby in time or location.

Most of the earthquakes that I've felt have been the 'single bump' type. Thought I felt a 'double bump' variety once but realized when I came to that I'd just crawled into the top bunk the night before.

Actually, he didn't say anything about time. You assumed that from posting time which may or may not be real time; for instance, my post says 13:43, but that is an hour earlier than the time I posted.

elizabeth: I think you got it. I announced it on the radio and all the way down the beach people came back saying they just felt it so it moved kinda slowly. Furthest south felt it after I made the call. So considering the time difference between here and the main land it would work out about right. What is the address of the site you found the info on? Thanks.
