No longer Looking for wool animal dolls from Chiapas in los cabos

Last carnaval in La Paz we found some great handmade wool animal dolls at one of the souvenir stalls along the malecon. The dolls were made in Chiapas and the Indian woman selling them said she had a little store in Los Cabos. We would like to get more, but have lost all contact info.

Its a real shot in the dark, but is there anyone who knows of a store somewhere in the cabo area that sells exclusively handmade goods from Chiapas? Their line consists of clothing, woven table runners and those adorable wool animals.

Thanks in advance

Les

I take it you checked the Tapestry place on Abasolo in La Paz? I know they carry items from Oaxaca.

I haven't seen them in Cabo, but the bookstore in Todo Santos at the corner of Benito Juarez and Hildago carries them. In March they had the Zapatista dolls and the stuffed animals in the little area in the back.
Try calling them(sorry I don't have the number).
