Bay of LA - Camp Gecko- Lot for sale
First of all, I want to throw out that I'm not a realtor.
Just coincidentally in the last week I've had two people ask me to post their ads for them.
I have nothing to gain, just doing favors for people who want to sell their
places.
So, with that being said, here you go:
Bahia de Los Angeles Lease property.
Here's a great chance of buying a lot with improvements that has a transferable lease, located at the south end of Bahia de Los Angeles. Located 4.5
miles south of town in Camp Gecko, this 30’ x 60’ site sits only one row back from the waters edge. It has outstanding, unblockable, 360 degree views
of the islands, desert and the mountains.
There is a staircase that leads to the 12’ x 30’ roof deck w/ hand rail, where you can sleep comfortably during those hot summer nights, or chill out
with that 360 killer view.
Below the deck you can pull in your own trailer, or build a casita that will open up to the 15’x30’ concrete slab patio. Trailer in photo has been
sold.
Over this large patio there is a roof attached to the deck above that is made of sun-tuff polycarbonate. This provides plenty of shade and less chance
of fire as compared to the scorpion friendly palm frond coverings. The underside of the roof is covered with green shade nursery cloth.
There is an ample sized 12'x12' block storage shed located at the rear of the lot with a 400 gallon fresh water tank located on top.
There are lots of extras including an outside shower, toilet and newer washing machine. Also Included is a Solar set up with 3 panels rated at 250
watts, a charge unit, 4 batteries and a 2000 watt inverter. Also included is an electric chest type freezer.
Asking price is $8000. Owner is motivated and willing to negotiate. Yearly lease is $575.
Over $10,000 invested just in materials not including time/labor.

Capt. George,
It doesn't have anything to do with the town, just coincidental I guess.
Vandenberg,
The photos are hosted on photobucket. I don't know why they won't open for you. Maybe someone with more computer savy can help us out there. Sorry!

with that little 2KW inverter and 250w panels? 4 batts??
and be able to start up and run on demand cycle 24/7?
i'm no expert on this solar stuff but i am learning cause my dream is to be off the grid one day myself.
i have seen RV refers that will do 12v.
if this is a small chest type like the one i have in the garage i would be amazed if a solar rig that small could make it work.

Yea, That "off the grid" stuff is well and good if that's the way you want to live. Guess maybe I'm just a lazy no account, but having spent some time in camps, houseboats, etc., hauling gas bottles, fuel for generators, and all
the other misc. BS., you can count me out. Thinking the best way to go off the
grid is a boat. Big enough to live on, with enough fuel capacity to keep clear
of the dock rents. "Sweet Dreams are made of this".

There is way more than meets the eye....And the E wave freezer draws 1.75 amps. you would need a back up generator or more batteries for 24/7

otherwise you risk "mafia meat" if the juice can't keep up with the demand.
i mean.........can you imagine opening up the chest to find 30 lbs of spoiled rotting fisjh and carne??!!
so bottom line, that chest going with the property can't be run safely on the system as set?
