Anyone been to Erendira latley
Thinking of taking the boys to Erendira camping this summer- Punta Cabras / Playa Grande beach area.
Anyone been down there latley? How is the vibe, locals, any crime issues etc.

I was there 2 weeks ago during the 500 and I am riding through there next weekend going from ST to SQ. The people I spoke to said the vibe they got
was that it was wierd that so few people were down there. If you are with a few other families it should be fine but I would not want to camp there
alone. Punta Cabra is a great family beach I just would not count on other people being there. I can repost after next weekend and let you know how
many campers I saw.

That would be great. I agree on not wanting to be there alone. Last year there were about 40 other campers so it felt safe.
Have fun on your ride.

Well, IlikeMex2, there was not much going on there on Friday about 1pm when we went through Punta Cabras, no one was there. On Sunday about 2pm there
were a few locals and one guy by himself camping and that was it. We had a great trip with no problems or worries and the boarder wait was only an
hour on Sunday at 8pm.

Thanks for the report. Hope to see you riding south of the boarder sometime soon.

That area has been a long time favorite with our family. This shot is on the bluff above the north end of Long Beach just north of Cabras and Almejas.
Excellant jumping off point for riding to Santo Tomas, Punta San Jose (maybe La Bocana if the gate is open at the Limestone Quarry) and south all the
way to shipwrecks via San Antonio del Mar.
Haven't had a bad trip yet....
