quick trip north and back

Made a quick trip to Sacramento and back. Crossed in Tecate on the morning, around 10, of the 7th. NO WAIT !!!
Sacto wasn't hot first week, but made up for it later in the visit. Got our business done a lot faster then we expected and started back last Friday. Gasoline is an eye opener folks.
I drive a Camry and 40 to 50 bucks gets you about half a tank of gas.Average price between $4.50 and $4.75 for regular. And diesel even more. Ouch !! Got 3/4 of a tank at Antonio's for about $25.00.
It was 107 at Lake Elsinore on the way back and around El Marmol and Catavina they clocked in at 108 yesterday.
Hot,Hot,Hot !!!
Road in excellent condition, except for a few rough stretches.
Vizcaino comes to mind, but there are a few other ones.
Forgot: Stayed at Los Caracoles in GN yesterday. Lots of pets there,so they must have relaxed their rules. NO PET sign still in the office window though.
They just started a new business next door. Giftshop, restaurant, minimart and in the near future a bar and Disco. Had a Panino sandwich ( lettuce, bacon, tomato, avocado and carne arrachera on a very large bun, with a salad on the side ) More then enough for a big eater. Price 65 pesos.
More then worth a try.
