Official announcement: Gas will be rationed in BC

http://www.afntijuana.info/2008/julio/8julio/gasolina.html

Pemex has decided to ration both gasoline and diesel. They will cut deliveries 10%. The reason given by Pemex is that they believe large quantities of subsidized fuel are going across the border and this is hurting the economy.

Now, if you read all the buzz and read between the lines, it becomes apparent that Pemex thinks the gasoline station owners are somehow in cahoots with others who are delivering large quantities of diesel and gasoline across the border and making unconscionable profits. Pemex cannot quirte figure out who or how they are doing this, so they are cutting back deliveries across the board.

Punishing Your Customers

Once again the "cut off your nose to spite your face" business model has emerged .... If you can't solve the problem, just punish your clients (in this case the people who live in BC).... I often wonder where these business models come from :?:

.... there is also the knee jerk concept of raisng prices when sales are slow :barf:

... or pinch a nickle today and loose your future business

I must have missed the lecture the day these self-distruct business models were discussed ....

This is a business model I see down here frequently when business is slow:

Cut services and increase prices

That policy is sure to win your customers back!

Why do they have to have any business model or business plan?? Where are the "customers" going to go??? to the copmpitition?? Oh thats right, there isnt any.. and if we were to go across the border we would pay 5 bucks a gallon... so... U guess theyc an do pretty much anything they like and it wont hurt them anyway.. Its not like if Chevro n decided to do this in the states, then others would go to another company...

BUT your right, it seems ridiculious how business is done here sometimes... I am amazed.. But that's the fun of living here... Its diffrent.. frustrating, but diferent.. and fun ...lol
