Yeah, appreciate the heads up. I went to channel 78 and can't get it, no HD here! Darn it, but thanks anyway.

According to my Direct TV guide, the show is on channel 76, which is an HD channel but an HDTV is not necessary.
It is howing right now, but it will be re-run at 8:00 pm.

ok - it was a repeat of one they do every once in a while profiling the 2005 loop year start finish ensenada and Bob Shepard talikng TT class. the HD imagery is magnificent. i can hardly stand to watch lo def these days.

errily it is the year Josh Baldwin died flying home after the race and he is profiled. along with a bunch of others.

if you are not an HD subscriber , don't have the HD upgrade receiver and 3 or 5 LNB dish, plus pay the $10 a month extra for the HD stations you cannot get shows broadcast on the exclusive HD channels like 70-79.

oh - it started at 5 local, not 6. PDT which i am on here in brutally hot and sweltering AZ.:wow:

Yeah, unfortuately it was a repeat

But the good news.....
I had not recorded it originally in HD, so now have it locked into my TIVO-HD.
And yes, the scenery is simply magnificent in the program,
some of the racing shots are excellent as well,
just way too much chatter, but that is why we have the FF key.

Some how it just does not compute

Take all the awesome Baja scenery available
and add in the helicopters at their disposal
and then add all the amazing range of vehicles in the race
and then add all the exciting racing scenes available
Top it all off with those magnificent HD cameras at their disposal.

And what do we get, more than half the program is "face time" with a bunch of guys yakking away....

Too bad, the racing networks across the board "just don't get it"

NASCAR coverage is also pretty lame, follow the leader, and miss all the action...

Do you know you can program a "Baja wish list?" I have DirectTv with HD. I have mine programed to automaticlly record anything pertaining to Baja, so I never miss anything. Works great!
