Crossing @ San Ysidro ??

Seem to recall some talk about changes at that crossing, I believe we use to swing to the right shortly after border crossing...

How about an update Hope to be crossing around the 3rd of August...Don't want to be

Gracias Nomads. cap'n g

Stay in the 2nd lane from the right, keeping in the first lane right of the concrete barrier divider from the Centro lanes and then take the first left access ramp which leads back to the Ave. Internacional heading west.

Yes, just stay towards the middle and then just right of the concrete divider between the lanes that go downtown (Centro/Revolucion). There are some new orange signs out to help guide you.

If you still aren't sure, just message me and I'll email you some better resources...

I'll be crossing Aug 3rd too but headed northbound. Is this detour affecting the northbound route? I'll be dragging my boat and I hate missing a turn and ending up downtown. Did that once coming back through Ensenada and with all the low wires across the streets I thought my rocket launchers were going to take out their whole power grid

Al: I'll be driving my F 350 Diesel with a 12 ft Yellow Duroboat on the roof.

Keep your eyes peeled...we can wave! Safe trip.

Sort of...just as you get to the end of the border road and turn left you'll instead make a right on the street before the light and then a left. No big deal.

I have video of the Southbound detour (just happened to have my video camera rolling when I crossed recently) in both Windows Media and QuickTime formats. You'll see them on the homepage of my website & listed on the message board under, "Crossing the Border"

In addition to the border detour video, there's also a nice dolphin video on the homepage that my nephew took during their recent visit here. In case folks would like to check that out too..

I'll be in my charcoal DuraMax towing a 23' Striper. One of these days we have got to get our timing better so we can swap war stories of our smoke-eating days!

How long will you be down for? On this trip leaving next week it will just be my son and I to pick up the boat and fish a few places on the way home but planning another trip to bring the wife probably in Oct.

Ahh, the 3:00AM Emergency call "Good morning, what seems to be the problem?"

"I was almost bitten by a dog!"

"When did this happen?"

"Last Wednesday"
