Contact information for Coco

Hola Nomads, David K suggested that I post this copy of a U2U I sent to him this afternoon. I will also post this on the Race-Dezert.com board. If any other nomads have any info on Coco please let me know. Thanks, Paul Boe

Hola David, Here's a copy of a U2U I sent to Shari and Sirena and their response. I still haven't heard back from them on a contact # for Coco, and it would be much better for him if I could impart some information to him prior to casting and measuring him, but we'll see. I also now have a donated electric wheelchair for him. I friend and former patient got his new high-tech gyro chair and his old one (a type similar to a "Rascal") which is in perfect condition - and he's willing to give it to Coco. The chair can handle hard pack, but wouldn't be of any use in soft sand, so I'm not sure how well it will work if he ever gets back to "The Corner." If you have any info on contacting him I would appreciate it. I'll forward a copy of this to Shari and Sirena to remind them, but it sounds like they're all kind of busy with Sirena's move for her education. Thanks for any help. Paul Boe

Hi Shari, here's a copy of a U2U I just received from your daughter:
Quote:
hi!! i'm not in GN right now so i haven't had any news when i get back i will ask at the hotel for a phone number or address...usually he just stays and leaves in the morning as far as i know but maybe they can find out some more info!

My reply:
Thanks for getting back to me on this. We had to make a change in plans as I just found out that my friend (who is driving us down to SQ for the Flying Sams clinic at the Los Pinos ranch) has to leave for Guatemala on July 16th to deliver a bunch of prostheses down there. So, it looks like I'll not be able to see Coco until we drive down to La Paz in October for our Rotarians clinic. It still would be beneficial for me to correspond with him though, as I have some information which would be helpful. Thanks for any assistance. Paul Boe

Shari/Sirena reply: oh good, that gives us more time...we are going to gn this week so I'll look for him then and get a contact #..see ya

David K replies:
Sounds great Paul... I am leaving for vacation in the morning, so not much Nomad action for me until the 28th... Please post what you said here on Nomad and maybe Race-Dezert.com for the best exposure and chances of letting Coco know. No soft sand at the Corner, so it should be fine for him... as long as he has a way to charge the batteries!
David

I was in Guerro Negro a couple days ago and checked several hotels with no luck. I asked Ringo if he had seen him and he hadn't...Ringo is an off road racer that knows everyone in GN.

I stayed at Malarrimmo's and the desk people hadn't seen him either...I cruised town and the back streets asking around and got little response...
