Tribute to Adolfo
Pompano's post of Characters and especially his photos of Mulege's Adolfo inspired me to do this. I took his photos and applied some Photoshop
effects to produce something similar to a painting. Thanks Pompano and Cardon for allowing me to play with your photos. I hope you like them.

Wow - Ken these are great.
I'm not a phogographer, but I've always wondered about the ethics of photographing human subjects who are unknown to you. I know these aren't your
photos, but just speaking for yourself, do you ask the subject for permission?
I guess this is a general question to all the Nomad photographers, without any bias, just curious.

danaeb,
Every situation is different. The closer you are to the subject the more of an issue it can become. How I deal with close subjects is if they look
like they are very interested in what i'm doing I will ask their permission. If they don't seem concerned I will take it and go. It is seldom a
problem. With one exception, if you are on some Indian Reservations they do take exception unless you pay them a fee.
Taking pictures of children, as a man, can be a real problem and I just don't do it unless I know the family.

Ken, those are GREAT! Nice job. Here's one I took a few years ago across the street from El Candil. Feel free to paint this one also. Bob H

Cool, Ken. I especially like the colors and textures in the second picture.
Do you think you could (at your convenience) do that with this image?
