Quick Gonzaga trip

Left on friday and got back last night.
The ride down and back on Hwy 1 was uneventful except for a semi on its side blocking the entire road south of El Rosario in the mountains, I was in a pickup and found a dirt road to pass, others in anything larger were stuck for awhile.
Lots and lots of Federal Police driving and parked on the toll road.
Gassed up at Baja Cactus Pemex, as usual fast and friendly service.
The road is under construction coming down the mountain about 15-20 miles south of El Rosario, it is being widened.
The restaraunt at the Chapala turnoff is empty.
Nobody at Coco's.
Weather was hot but I love it.
Nobody around but the local fisherman that happened to be diving for scallops on monday so I had a delicous dinner that night and went to bed early for the ride home.

Daytime mid 90°'s
Water mid 80°'s
Pacifico's mid 30°'s.
And I got my wind generator up and working.

Thanks---the widening of the road is very welcomed in that area. They appear to be working on it rather quickly----good thing.

Sounds like you had a good time---love that area, but mainly love it in January.
