Most excellent baja houses

Nomads are invited to post a picture here of any casa in Baja you think deserves recognition for being outstanding in a truly Baja way. The only rule: it can't be your own house, sorry. :light:

I'll start - the cob and stone house on the road to Sol de Mayo.

front entry

dining / living room

candles and wine

Cool house. I don't have anything to share at this time, but thanks for the post. I hope to see some replies.

:lol::lol::lol: I think it's more of a fish picture than a house picture.

Can we change this rule to include peoples own casas? Then if there are features we like we can ask questions...for example how the heck can I find such a big stuffed fish to hang as my main decorative item in my new casa ;D. This is what separates the fishermen from the non fish types.

Of course I welcome seeing the other homes as well.

Hellooooo Nomads! the poster wanted you to see his fine experimental house without giving you the realty hustle. Island people are verrry clever. It's a nice house, I've seen it, I think it's a great idea. Cmon, show us. You don't have to play around.

So we don't hi-jack this thread, maybe we should start a new thread displaying the stuffed fish/animals we have in our casas?

Here's one of mine...

Ok I'll throw up a house picture. This is the front door and stairs to the roof top of a recently completed casa in Punta Chivato.

Now you have to realize that palapa roofs are not "pc" so don't you dare think it's gonna be "Gringo Approved".

I hope they don't continue to paint the walls pink. I like them the way they are.

I only wish I could claim some credit on this one, but it ain't mine Osprey, you owe me a Pacifico. I have stayed there before, though, and it sure changed my mind about a few things. Convinced me that life off the grid can be quite beautiful, among other things.
