fishing & PARTYING report/ cultural exchange in Bahia Asuncion

Hey amigos...Juan was at it again with a couple wild and crazy guys from San diego. They got a whack of yellowtail and tuna yesterday even though it blew like snot in the afternoon and was rough...good thing Jon was an Alaska fisherman...no donated breakfast to Neptune this time.

Afterwards, we all had a blast at our traditional Sunday Feast...Jon & Rob bought venison & elk steaks and sausage much to the delight of our family and friends and we BBQ'ed up the fish too. Rob delighted our relatives as he was a rodeo rider and grew up on a ranch that raised fighting c-cks and Jon was a hit as his mama is mexicana. They made lifelong friends and became the latest converts.

It's really fun when our guests share their culture with our family here who have been turned onto some neat stuff like pesto, peanut butter, dill pickes etc...they are all willing to try new stuff now....but my best laugh of the day was when mi cuņada Tita from San Hipolito saw Rob take something out of a tin and stick it in his mouth and asked what it was...he said it chewing tobacco and it was like smoking only different....well, tita is our only relative who smokes and so she wanted to try it ...the face she made was hilarious and we all laughed every time she would spit...
