Diesel vs propane genrator

How do I compare the fuel cost of running a diesel vs a propane generator. Norpro makes a nice propane model, the 13Kw "13AF" that looks like the one for me. But no comprendo what 51cfh means in real money. I can figure it out when a diesel burns so many gallons per hour, but the cubic foot thing (or cubic meter for that matter) for propane has me scratching my head.

Heck, I don't even know what we pay for propane, just that the truck comes about once a year and we fork over 4,000 pesos or so.

Anyhow the propane engine running at 1800 RPM seems like it will be cleaner and last a long time.

Yes, but how much cheaper are we talking about? Is it worth me hauling diesel out the bumpy road from town vs. having the nice man with the propane truck bring it out?

Ah, thanks Grover! Looks like a comparable diesel genny would burn about half as much liquid-wise. Something to consider......

Yep Soulpatch. Now I'll have that Beer.
