Baja Almanac....Help me to help you....

I'm looking for a copy of the Baja Sur Almanac. I have the Norte edition and have scanned it into a high quality PDF file that can be printed out or viewed online. I'll provide a copy of this and the Baja Sur PDF version as well as return the original to anyone willing to loan it out. It's a long shot but it's all I've got as the publisher is MIA!

Unless anyone has an electronic version of the newer edition they are willing to share......

The Norte and Sur seperate Almanacs were replaced in 2003 by one book with full color maps. I posted here recently about some (hopefully) good news that Landon Crumpton (the publisher) is feverishly working on the newest, updated edition to get it out by Christmas... Yes, we have been hearing rumors all year about this new edition... All I can do is pass on what I hear from Landon's friends.

IF the new Almanac never gets published, and the previous editions are NLA (which is pretty much the case), I see no reason not to share the out of print pages... as long as they are not made to sell.

See the thread about the 2008 Almanac here: http://forums.bajanomad.com/viewthread.php?tid=32194

I'll be the first to buy the new edition!!!!! I'm (hopefully?!) on the email list to be notified when it's out. I've been waiting for it for YEARS...... we all have. In the meantime I have made myself an electronic version of the old Norte book and would still like to locate the Sur volume or a copy of the latest volume to scan. I too see no reason why creating a portable electronic version of a NLA book is a problem. As I said, I will return the original to the owner unharmed as well as pass along the PDF versions for use on a computer.

Anyone?????........ I do hope you are right that the new edition is almost out. It would be a huge deal for those of us who travel in Baja.

Thanks for all the replies. I have it worked out with a forum member. Let's hope the next edition comes out soon. Until then....
