VW Turbo Diesel V10 Trophy Truck spy video

I think the VW international trucks that Mark Miller raced in SCORE were diesel but I don't remember them being a V10, maybe a V6 or V8.

I think this is the first year they allowed diesels in Score races. The ones they raced before were gasoline.

does this mean Dodge will build a turbo cummins diesel TT soon?

This is from their web site. SCORE called them SIT and they started between the TT and class 1 at least at the 2007 500 race as I recall. There were three in the SIT class with two finishing and one DNF, Bob Gordon, who was in Robby's Dakar hummer I assume.

The Touareg TDI race vehicle will be driven by multiple Baja winners, Mark Miller, a long –time Volkswagen Factory driver, and Ryan Arciero. Miller set the record for best finishing time in a diesel vehicle at the 2007 Baja 500. Arciero set a world record at the 2007 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in July with the fastest time in the alternative fuel diesel truck high performance showroom stock division.

This is from the BFG site at RLH:

FINI
1 SIT 81 BFG MILLER, MARK 10:11:00 2:30 4:26 6:47 10:00:34
44.90 38.32 40.49 42.380
2 SIT 83 BFG VILLIERS, GINIEL 10:10:30 2:28 4:29 6:54 10:18:42
45.35 36.73 39.38 41.138
OUT
3 SIT 320 TOY GORDON, BOB 10:11:30 2:39
42.23

I found my 2007 500 SCORE program booklet.

It says the Race Touareg 2 is powered by an in line five cyclinder 2.5 liter four-valve per cyclinder TDI diesel engine, fitted with a turbo-charger system. The engine produces 285 HP and over 440 ft.lbs of torque. It has a six speed sequential race gearbox. A permanent four-wheel drive system featuring three mechanical differentials with viscous locking to provide superior traction.

Diesels have raced for several years. KORE ran a dodge diesel in the stock full class in 2004? for the first time.
