Looking for Plays de Tijuana - Rosarito Rental (Long Term)
I'm looking for a place that's at least 2 bedrooms and dog friendly. I have a lab and a beagle that are both housetrained and well-behaved.
Price range is $600 for the right property, but I'd prefer to spend less.
Let's see what you've got!
I'll be in town November 13-18 looking for a place, so hopefully we can meet up and see what you have to offer.
It might be best to email me, I don't log on here all that often. You can email me at bryanclark82@gmail.com

You should be able to find plenty of places in that price range.
Its best to walk around the neigborhoods and look "for rent" signs. If you don't speak Spanish, it will helpfull to a bring a Spanish speaker with
you.

Rosarito Beach hotel at only $29 per night might be a good deal if you can get them to negotiate down even farther based on a monthly occupancy...

That is a good rate but it is only for Sunday thru Thursday. Standard rooms are $100 on the weekends.

I made the comment tongue in cheek but it is an indicator that rents are seriously dropping in the past few months in spite of the influx of folks
associated with the Fox Studios filming. I heard of a beach front home in Baja del Mar, between us and Rosarito that just rented for $550 a month on a
12 month lease.
Not a good sign if you are a landlord...

Ensenada
I don't know what your needs are or why you selected Rosarito, but I would seriously check out Ensenada and the Punta Banda area. A really great place
and plenty of friendly Nomads

The rental market in Rosarito is seeing a much higher inventory of available rentals in the coastal areas traditionally sought out by Gringos.
Vacation rentals are almost non-existant and many who in years past had only rented their homes for weekends are now offering them long term, adding
even more to the existing inventory. Rental prices are all over the place but only the real bargains are being taken right now.
I have seen a lot more locals of late renting homes that had traditionally been rented to Gringos historically in some of the gated communities. I
know of a 2 BR home in San Antonio del Mar that just rented to a couple from TJ for $400 a month. They told me that the same home in a gated community
with a garage would cost them several hundred dollars a month more in TJ. I have heard of several similar cases here in the past few months and is a
trend that will probably continue until the border situation and US economy improve...

This is the best website I've found for TJ rental and sales information:
http://www.bienesraicesenlinea.com.mx/
Craigslist Tijuana has a mix of the gringo and local market:
http://tijuana.en.craigslist.com.mx/apa/
Rentals for houses with garages in gated communities that I know about go for +/- $1000

Here in San Antonio del Mar there are plenty available in the $600 range, much to the chagrin of the local landlords...

I like San Antonio Del Mar. $600 is a good deal for an ocean close/view house in a secure private community so close to San Diego!!
