A short while back in the states, I once again had to chase two bats out of the house and my wife chided me for being so concerned.

Two days later, the local paper had a short story regarding a rabid bat bite. The story noted that there hadn't been a rabid dog bite recorded in San Bernardino county since 1948 and a rabid cat bite for almost as long, but every year there have been rabid bat bites recorded. Last year there had been eight and three so far this year.

Still long odds, BUT...............

I'd rather deal with the c-ckroaches.

cant you vaccinate your bats?

Vaccinations

You know, I asked my local Vet much the same question early this spring when their marquee out front advertised "Rattlesnake Vaccine shots".

I asked the clerk if many people were bringing in their Rattlesnakes.

I hadn't been the first to ask.
