It is a good calendar, isn't it Ken?!
All y'all should order one from Marv in time to enjoy Ken's manta ray with remoras in January.

Here's a challenge. Let's see if we can come up with 10 good reasons to go to San Felipe.
1. mmmmmmm...all of our friends go for the shrimp festival. Wait, I take that back. SOME of our friends go to the shrimp festival.
Friends don't let friends drink white zinfandel.

1. Beautiful Sunrises on the water
2. Beautiful Sunsets on the mountains
3. You can be on the beach then switch to the desert in under three minutes
4. Fresh Shrimp and Fish are delivered directly to your home
5. The offroading is some of the best in Baja
6. The sea temprature is warm enough to swim in 9 months of the year
7. San Felipe is close to the border yet it seems a world away
8. The shell collecting is the best in Baja
9. Easiest place to catch a Corvina from the beach
10. Close knit community of Residents
Haven't had a bad trip yet....

Beautiful pictures! San Felipe was the one section (well the entire upper eastern section of Baja) that we said we'll hit on our next trip down.
Now you have me jonesing to see it sooner!

A few more reasons to visit San Felipe:
No words needed here (picture taken in 2004)
A misty morning view from "The South" (2006)
Sunrise (2006)
Sunset (2006)
Sigh. I've just gotta get back down there real soon.

This is a great photo trip to San Felipe...thanks to all the good photographers here.
Made a brief stop in 1971..and somehow never found the time to return.
I do what the voices in my tackle box tell me.

My favorite persona since 1966. I visited his whale bone encrusted house for many many years. Just like I supported the tortilla lady that lived in
her shack along with her old son. She had to have the most arthritis-disfigured hands I've ever seen, but she made the best tortillas in San Felipe.
Every time we visited her we bought about $30.00 worth of her tortillas and passed them around the campground. They were paper thin and probably had
the best lard found in town. But just take an extra Lipitor and were OK.
I got really emotional when the Clam Man and the Tortilla lady passed. Several town residents were surprised that a gringo would have feelings for
residents of the town.
They were the heart of San Felipe, IMHO

1966? Wow... Did you know Arnold (Arnold's Del Mar Café)? He seemed to be like the mayor of town, spoke perfect English... always helpful to us
travelers with advice, assistance...

Another photo of the Clam Man
This is the way I remember him... also sitting on his barber chair waving to people as they drove into town...
Udo, how about Arnold?
