? about Loreto Water bills (Sepal) ?

In Loreto...

A few years back we were able to pay our water bill a year in advance.

(I don't have a meter yet... I also have no house yet, so I paid a minimum monthly amt.)

Last year, I was not allowed to pay for a year in advance.

Not wishing to fall behind and have penalties / fines, I paid a local friend to pay my monthly bill for me.

Again this year (when I went into the Sepal office in Jan), I was unable to pay in advance for the year, so I contracted to have my water bills paid monthly again. (I pay a bit more for the pay service than I do for the water, though neither are excessive, and I've been happy to give my neighbor the little extra biz...)

Has anyone else discovered any other arrangements (able to pay in advance, pay on-line [like we can for CFE] ) or other options?

I see on my Bancomer on-line banking that paying water bills and taxes is an option that Bancomer offers IF the local municipality uses the option... but I don't believe Loreto does this yet... ??

Small details and questions I know, but the only way to learn new things is to ask.... and things change frequently in Loreto, in Baja, and in Mexico it seems ;)

Thanks!
djh

No more water bill payments in advance accepted.
We just paid the Oct through Dec bill.
Will pay Jan through March in April. Has been this way for over a year.
