Veggie Anti-Bacterial
I am looking for an effective product in which to soak leafy vegetables to kill any bacterial associated with contaminated irrigation water &
other field contaminants. Bleach is effective but obviously can impart an unwanted taste.
Thank you.

Sold in many grocery stores.
Used on the mainland by most of my wife's family.

That is what we use both north and south of the border.
Not afraid of a little dirt and a few bacteria, but after knowing someone who worked for the Dept of Labor inspecting farms, and hearing about the
hygiene of the workers when the outhouses are on the other side of the field, well, that is when we decided to use it on both sides of the border.
Remember, many workers are paid according to how much they pick, so taking time to walk across a large field to use the outhouse reduces the paycheck.

I don't think it is but not sure. You can find it in many grocery stores in MX in various sizes. Just a few drops in water do the job. If traveling,
just take some ziplocks and buy a tiny bottle here. It's not expensive and shouldn't be too hard to find.

We have never bought any in the US---just use what we brought back from Mexico or a few drops of bleach.
Also, we bought a much bigger bottle in Wal-Mart or Costco in Ensenada and it has lasted, and lasted, and lasted. It has lasted so long I don't
remember which store.
I know many say don't use bleach, but a few drops does not leave a taste---we also use a little in our water tanks.
