Tiny Flowers

These are about the size of a dime and all over our front yard---smell good too. Love the wildflowers.

Even this little bouquet is only about the size of a dime.

Isn't nature great!

As I get older and more interested in discovering the beauty of nature, my eyesight goes and often I can't see things that are so beautiful right in front of me. Close-up photos really help. It's amazing that such tiny flowers can be so pretty.

Well, I not only put a towel down, I wear home depot knee pads to protect my old misrable knees, and I often have a step stool to help me in getting up!

I still have to yell help sometimes---good thing John is around.

Longlegs, could send you some seed, but then you need rain. Some of these flowers will not grow with other water---they have to have rain!

BMG---I also think it is amazing that tiny flowers are so pretty, and they are prettier magnified for many of us.

They are beautiful! Thanks for the pics!
Stumbled across some "Shooting Stars" in bloom today (San Diego).
One had four flowers with two more blossoms. Sometimes it`s the little things that matter!!

Diane,
Great pictures, are there any out front of my place? For some reason you seem to have all of the cool wild flowers. Lauri

Thanks for the nice comments--makes the effort to get back up off the ground worth it.

Laurie, they are beginning to come up in front of your place, but it will take a while because of the construction work, and if Armando will quit driving up in front of your place!

Thanks Igor and Rick.

A macro lens is still on my wish list---I like macro shots. This one I too with my 70-200 f 2/8 lens with the addition of an extension tube---a dedicated macro lens would make it a lot easier---$$$$

I've always liked shooting stars. They herald the arrival of spring in my neck of the woods. I'll bet the central valley is full of them right now. They show up at about the same time as poppies but are less celebrated. We've had a lot of spring rain this year. This could be a good year for flowers.

Love the macro flower pics, here in the sierra the little blooms are just starting. Saw these tiny ones this am with a honey bee and bright red pollen. Theres really small white flowers here the size of a large pinhead too.
