The normal camping fee has been $20 for the past 5 years.

Hmmm... $20 per vehicle per day for 7 days is $280... So he knocked off $70, and you were upset?

If all that beautiful sand and shade trees isn't your cup of tea, then I am happy the scenery at Puertecitos appealed to you!

$20 and no services. I'm with Fred on this one.

Flush Toilets, Showers (not heated), well water bibs through-out the campground, trash cans, shade trees planted 40 years ago provide cool, clean, quiet, dust free camping next to a wide sand (no rocks) beach... I guess you haven't seen the web page?: http://vivabaja.com/nm for Nuevo Mazatlan...

And Fred was given a price of $15, not $20.

Lot's of Baja Nomads camping at Nuevo Mazatlan for Matomi #2, 2004: http://vivabaja.com/204

Mike Humfreville, GeoRock, Mexray, Surfer Jim, Bob H, TW, Tunaeater, and more...

DK................the place is great. I guess at that time I was just looking for a weekly rate. I don't care about hook-ups or a shower. Bathroom is nice. I have no problems with the guy who was asking the price of $15. Also thought maybe $20/night would have been ok for two vans in one spot. Really only slept in one. Guess I should have left mine back in SF. LOL

David , you just don't get it .

--- "her land"?? ---This is private land owned by the Orozco family and as I understand it , even Mexico has some land laws and recognition of private property rights . What business or right is it of yours to even spout as you are doing with worthless and ungrounded opinions? How bout running a new freeway thru your home ? Are you just gonna "give it up " or do you expect compensation ? Just so happens that most of the residents here are happy that the new road by-passes instead of splitting the village .

"new highway avoids the place" ----By choice and agreement !. Less traffic= less noise, less pollution, safer streets.

"I would like nothing more than to say good things about the place... but, I won't if there is no evidence".----We don't need your mis-guided and ill-informed opinions. Apparently my statements of fact are falling on your deaf ears and if you want to continue , then **** *** . If you don't like the way a business is run, then stay the hell away.

Elizabeth and I had some good birria at the taco stand there in '05 and '06... that was along the road. Interesting that even the new highway avoids the place... so any Mexicans who hoped for more business in Puertecitos are out of luck, unless people detour through town. I heard it was the 'owner' of Puertecitos (Clara?) who refused to permit the paved road to pass through 'her' town...? If Clara has changed that the WHY don't YOU guys show us? Is there still a fee to enter 'her' land or will she appeal to our dollars with services we would use? I would like nothing more than to say good things about the place... but, I won't if there is no evidence.

I don't know what has come over you beercan... but all I can say is sorry that my reply TO BajaWaverunner upset YOU!

Geeze... what happened that you don't see anything negative with his post and I only just agreed with him based on my experience there?

Again, if YOU want more tourism there, then why aren't YOU showing the beauty of Puertecitos, if is there any?

If you like Clara, don't want people coming into Puetecitos, then you should be happy with the negative posts... right? I mean all the silence, who would have guessed that anyone was welcome there?

Let me try one more time:

PLEASE show us photos of the new and improved Puertecitos... of the open Cow Patty's... of the hot springs... of ANYTHING...

Give us something good to talk about, okay?

I would love to spend some time there, report on what's available, promote it, etc. Do people still have to pay to get in? Does Clara think she can get more business for Puertecitos by charging to get in? Would she like some help... I am offering.

Sorry you don't like me saying what I have seen or heard... I would sure rather say good things... Give us something good ... OKAY???

David, David, David.......when will you ever learn....it really isn't worth your time or effort to argue with someone who has nothing better to do. Can't you both find something productive to do with your time?.......dt

You don't seem know , so why post about something that you are not knowledgeable about ?

You certainly don't see me posting about Bahia Assunion or Rosarito, or Puunta Banda ???? I haven't any interest in or specific knowledge of those areas, so I read and learn.
