Del Cabo to Los Cabo to Todo Santo question

I am coming to Del Cabo for a 5 day vacation. I am a photographer and want to do a road trip from Del Cabo to Los Cabos to Todo Santos and was wanting to know a few things.

How long would it take to drive this trip
How many miles
Anything that would be great for photos along the way
any secluded beaches along the way

Ok, is it safe to drive? Any violence reported on these roads?
U2U is fine or leave info here.

Gracias:O

San Jose del Cabo to Cabo San Lucas, drive time approx. 45 minutes depending on how fast you drive. San Lucas to Todos Santos 45 ~ 1 hour, again depending on how fast you drive, how many times you stop. Relatively safe if you drive the speed limit and watch out for the federal policia. They have been using radar to detect speeds, so stay to the right even when those burbs go flying past you. Drive during day light hours. Miles and secluded beach, unknown.

I thought Del Cabo was a brand of tomatoes grown in Pescadero. And I would like to know the secret behind getting from San Lucas to Todos in 45 minutes.

Well Bajahowood, like I said 45 ~ 1 hour, depending on how slow/fast you drive. And your starting point. Why, did they move Todos Santos more north or south?

"Los Cabos" is a 'coined' term for the coastline between San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas and anything jointly pertaining to the two towns (San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas) like the Int'l. airport.

There is no one town of 'Los Cabos' or 'Del Cabo'... but we know what you mean... just trying to help with the details so when you get there, you won't seem too 'greenhornish'.

The third place is Todos Santos (All Saints)... in Spanish, both the noun and adj. get pluralized (s).

Have a great time... Thank God that Cabo is at the tip of Baja California, so one may enjoy the entire peninsula first, before THAT place! LOL:lol:

The view of lands end from the lunch area at Costco is beautiful.
Cabo San Lucas used to be a beautiful little fishing village. Now the reason to go is to buy a condo.

If its not where it is, its where it isn\'t.

DK
There is nothing "coined" about the name Los Cabos. It is the name of our municipio....it was "coined" by the Mexican government. BTW Todos Santos is in La Paz municipio. However Miraflores and Santiago are both in Los Cabos and wonderful places to visit while here.

Since you are being such a stickler for names...where is Cabo? do you mean
Cabo San Lucas or San Jose del Cabo?

You got me Judy... As I said: "Cabo is at the tip of Baja California"

Okay, Cabo San Lucas is at the tip of Baja California!

Hey at least I didn't say at the tip of Baja OR worse... at the tip of THE Baja!

Speaking of map names: Any word from Landon? His web site was updated for the '09 Almanac!

For nice beaches; early morning at Santa Maria, km 11 or 12 (marked on highway between SJD and Cabo) Las Palmas or San Pedro @ km 57, close to Todos.
The lagoon at La Posa in Todos Santos for birds and whales close up.

The grass is always greener....
and so, there is always a better spot in Baja

Regardless of all the other really good info you are getting about the area - Travellers don't have to worry about bringing any meth with them as there is plenty being made in the area.

Not for much longer - the beautiful strip mall they are building on the other side of the road to take advantage of the view will block Costco's cafe view. Progress...
