Baja Bernie where are you?

I know for one reason or another I haven't been keeping up with what's been happening on "our board" for the past couple of months but hey, what happened to Baja Bernie that he's not posting anymore?!
The last post I could find was dated back mid December. Does anyone know what's going on? I hope he didn't toss us all to the wind cause somebody took one of those nasty verbal pokes at him!!
Bernie I miss you. Where are you ???

Just do it!

That's exactly what Baja Angel said to me when I brought up Bernie's silence on Nomad as we drove by his neighborhood last Sunday!

Think I will give him a call later and see how things are...

I saw Bernie driving north on I-5 just north of San Diego a week or so ago - and we exchanged friendly waves with each other. His license plate?: MI BAJA

btw... Bernie seems to be enjoying things under new circumstances in his life... and I'm very happy for him!

I still get the occasional email from him, so he's out there, just having more fun than some of us are at the moment. ;D

Hi all

Yes, That is so true! Not only am I in love with a real Baja Gal named Jaime Harrison, yes her dad ran the Cantina in La Salina, and we are to be married on May 3rd.

Met her when her dad was dying, a great friend of mine, and then we met again after my wife of 52 years passed away late in 2007.

Things have been going by at a rather rapid clip after we got together at last years Baja Authors book signing at the Pyramid Resort.

We have made numerous short trips into Baja Norte--in spite of the bad news and had a ball--having so much fun that I have not really had time to slow down and write a trip report..Log says we have driven about 2000 miles in Baja Norte over the past few months...and over 3800 in California, Arizona and Nevada during the same time frame....Average being home about one day a week to open mail and pay bills.

April 2nd will find us spending a week in Baja Sur..........flying down after way too many folks tried to stop us completely...had planned a 20 day driving trip but pressure from Jaime and my friends stopped that.

We both love Baja and it's people and we will never stop wandering around down there.

Thanks for asking.....oh! Yes it was a kick when Doug pulled up along side of Jaime and I as we were heading off for I forget where.

Some one has truly blessed this old guy.

Bernie and Jaime drove up and spent a few days with us in late Oct.
We did Yosemite, and had some great home Mex cooking and generally had a great time getting acquainted, face to face, after years of cyber-time.

I think things are very cool with them, and his silence will need to be explained by hissownself, not by others.

Very special days sitting on the porch and swapping lies and tall tales.

Congratulations. You and Jaime are welcome to stop by if you come through La Paz in April. We still have some Agavero with your name on it.
