Loreto Airline Information?

I am hoping someone in Loreto can answer my questions:

I need to find out if Continental or their express carrier flys to Loreto and if it comes in from Houston? My timeframe is from late March to mid-April.

Also, is Alaska is now flying a full sized jet instead of the little commuter flight there?

Are these the only two airlines now flying into Loreto?

Thanks for your help. I have tried to phone and email to get this info from the carriers and the airport, but it seems Murphy's Law is working overtime again in Baja.

I do what the voices in my tackle box tell me.

Sorry, Pomp. Nothing non-stop between Houston and LTO. You can fly through San Diego or LA.

This is a roundabout way, but the least expensive:
Houston to Phoenix,
Phoenix to Hermosillo,
Hermosillo to LTO.

One save about $200.00 per person!

But the least expensive is to fly to La Paz from Houston and rent a car.

I would seriously check out the prices to Cabo. If you can get a good fare to Cabo, you can then fly Aerocalafia to Loreto. they don't fly every day, but several times a week. My thinking is that flights to Cabo are cheaper than to Loreto or La Paz. So, if you find that Aerocalafia works for you, coordinate your flight to Cabo, or vice versa. right now, Alaska owns LTO and that is sadly reflected in the prices. Google Aerocalafia. they have a website.

Thanks, fellas, but I am not asking about prices. The person flying has senority and will fly comped. I just need to find out some info for her. I know about La Paz and San Jose del Cabo, but way too much driving in our case. Am only interested in current Loreto (LTO) info, but thanks anyway.

Anything further on Continental or their express carriers to Loreto?

Also, is Alaska is now flying a full sized jet instead of the little commuter flight there? And are these the only two airlines now flying into Loreto?

Thanks.

Alaska is flying both > 80 passenger small planes and the larger 737s on the weekends..

There are rummors that Aeromexico with bring back service in May from San Diego, and stop in LTO on the their way to Mexico City...

No Continental flights. Period. Alaska is it.

And, if my guess is correct and your friend is averse to small aircraft, many of the travel websites note the type of plane in use. So, maybe, if there is a commuter jet being used on a Wednesday, perhaps you will find a full size aircraft on the Friday flight.
