Shari, We're going to be doing a lot of exploring so maybe I can get the others that far. But I think we'll be exploring more around El Coyote Lagoon and towards San Ignacio. Hope the wind settles down cuz we had enough of it on our last trip to Scorpion Bay. Any halibut showing yet?
bajajudy, Thanks for the thread. Any one know of any changes in the last two months or so?

We were in La Bocana a couple of weeks ago. The water is still very cold outside, but the halibut in the lagoon were biting just fine. Good luck and have fun. (edit for spelling)

Russ, if you a windsurfer it is perfect there this time of the year. You don't get a break from the wind until July, so get up early and do all you can by 11 am. road is paved to the turn off and almost to town. Should be finished this summer.

Thanks for the responses. I made reservations and we'll start this adventure on Thu. Talk about responses. I left a message and Recardo called back awhile latter. Good start. Pray for calm wind and a good halibut bite.

Russ

Although there are some in the Estero year around, the big halibut bite does not start until later in the summer. The wind will start to calm down in June.... but you never know.

7 june is a big off-road race in Vizcaino (third in the Mulege series)... Try to make it if you are into that sort of thing This web site will give you the race details

rts551 If you see two quads & two Rangers that'll be our group. I plan to check out Abre & La Bocana. If I can sell here I'm hoping to find a casita on a large lot over there some where.
