Wanted: Rum Island Iced Tea recipe
Anyone have a recipe for Rum Island Iced Tea?
Bacardi sells it, but it is a bit too sweet. I like it when it tastes like a non-alcoholic ice tea.

Does This Recipe Help?
Caribbean Iced Tea
* 4 cups water
* 4 lipton cup size tea bags
* 1 cup pineapple juice, chilled
* 1/2 cup cream of coconut
* 1 cup ice cube (about 6 to 8)
* pineapple, wedge
* mint

I can do basic Long Islanders. Hundreds of variations out there. It takes all three liquors and the mixes to come out with something that tastes like
iced tea.
Fill a glass with ice; add one ounce each vodka, tequila and rum. Add sweet and sour to almost fill the glass and then top-off with a splash of
coca-cola. Tastes just likes iced tea.
If the sweet and sour is too sweet- you can use homemade lemonade and adjust for sweetness. With three shots of liquor- after a few of these almost
anything is close enough.

Sorry, Woosh
I interpreted the post as asking for a non-alcohol included recipe.
Not that I would ever consider drinking that.
Just add rum.
Cheers! GJ

Hey DK-
I never thought about that, but you're right! That just solved my entertaining dilemas when inviting vegan/vegetarian friends over for dinner. Just
get them drunk, and it won't matter how that tofu casserole tastes!
Thanks, man!

sorry noproblemo2,
I'll look in my books to see what I can find.
Don't want to get too far off-topic, especially where RUM is concerned!

I noticed that center stage was taken up by some Grendain Almendrado.
My wife is an alcoholic now because of that stuff. She stated drinking in when it was $1.75 U.S. a bottle in San Felipe. Now it's about $7.00 a bottle
U.S. (the 1.75 l. bottle is $11.00 now.)

Thank God that
I am a techno idiot.
Bad - can't figure out how to post pictures of Great Danes in Baja (still working on that).
Good - I can't post embarrassing pictures of myself in full party mode.
My children and theirs will probably light candles to keep it that way.

I remember my foster dad had a recipe for Long Island Ice Tea that required 7 ingredients. A bartender gave it to him. It produced the most perfect
'ice tea' tasting alcohol version I've ever had in life. We all shared it during a 3-day July 4th pool, BBQ, Slumber, make-a-homemade-western-movie
with an award ceremony, egg-tossing, water balloon tossing, raft and tube racing, water-sliding, keg-drinking, FUN party we had when we lived in Agua
Dulce, CA. Actually had 3 years of these parties before we moved.
But that tea was a huge hit. Unfortunately, Dad can't remember the recipe anymore.
So, anyone out there know what it could have been?
I am gonna try the suggestion given here with 5 ingredients.
Oh, I do remember Coca-Cola was one ingredient.
