Loreto Paraíso meeting
Did any nomads attend this meeting? And if so, how did it go?
"LORETO, BCS FADESAMEX .- retry start with your project in San Bruno beach, with a modified project which they called "integrated tourism development
Loreto Paraíso", after it was suspended in 2008 for not receiving the appropriate permits in environmental matters, in addition to face financial
problems.
At a briefing held at the weekend in a hotel of this city, Carlos Hugo, Manuel Martinez and Arturo Casillas, managing director, financial director and
project manager in FADESAMEX respectively, announced that this meeting was to listen to voice of the main representatives of the loretanos, what are
your suggestions to make this project a reality meets the expectations of the region's development.
Endorsed by the advice of consultants, managers explained that at this time have not submitted the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) to the
Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, as they say, first we want to make agreements with society, government bodies and members of the local
private sector.
With the presence of the mayor loretano, Yuan Yee, some officials, hoteliers, developers, environmentalists, academics, among many others involved,
FADESAMEX managers emphasized that they recognize the vast potential of this area.
In an extensive question and answer phase, representatives of the developer group received and answered questions and concerns about water management,
labor, housing for employees, the recovery of species, protection of archaeological sites, financing, among others."

We attended and it was packed, standing room only, even the Yuan Yee was there. The entire presentation was in Spanish and as our Spanish is weak, we
didn't get a lot out of the presentation. It went through a bunch of environmental stuff including water needs and vegitation mitigation, just like
any project presentation would do. Then gave a few stats about how many units would be built and how many golf holes there would be. They said they
will only develope 30% of the land. Hope someone else was there with better language skills who could get a little more out of it. I didn't get
anything regarding the funding, but I could have easily missed it.

Thanks for the update. Did they address their financial status considering their company was (or is) in bankruptcy? Even Loreto Bay started out
with a better financial situation and look where they ended up. I hope this one goes nowhere fast.
