July 21/22

Unfortunately work and timing is not going to allow a real Baja trip this year. I have a meeting in LA on the 24 so I am trying to decide between an overnight out of Ensenada or 1 or 2 panga days out of San Quintin. I really would like a tuna or two but getting on the water is the key. What do all you nomads think would be my better chance for tuna?

Pangas may not get you out to the Tuna; depending ....

I'd find a 1 1/2 day out of SD if I was in LA.
Post your question on Allcoast and you'll get some SD boat recommendations.
Below is a great place to start; all of their boats are nice.

Or find an overnighter in Ensenada but I've never had good luck with these.

I rather go out of Ensenada and get a six pack then deal with 'whoever' on the party boats. In San Quintin I would get a panga. That being said, if any Nomads are interested in splitting some of the six pack costs, let me know. I use Sergio in Ensenada and the cost per person is $150. My daughter is going with me and mybe one other friend.
