Just felt a really good quake here at about 1:10. Anyone else?

Russ, did it last a while... shaking... Was it a single boom (sonic boom, meteor, etc)?

Was it, perchance, a blast from the gypsum mines?

Jeeeeze! I'm glad I wasn't the only one that felt it here. Our radio was busy for a few minutes after. I grew up in So. Cal. so I guess I should be a bit experienced with quakes. This really felt like a 3 or 4 but nothing shows on the internet shows it. Maybe a very large explosion from the mining at San Marcos Isl.? Good one DENNIS:o

There is also the possibility that it was very localized and will not show up on any of the earthquake sites. Some of the Bahia Asuncion earthquakes were strong enough to do some damage, and I do not believe they ever showed up on the earthquake maps.

I know that some that we experienced while in BA never showed up, and they were earthquakes.

Just a possibility

Had another one a few minutes ago and every one here has decided it to be from the mine on San Marcos.
Dennis, time for that tuneup on the 'ol pacemaker, eh? I hate that when the battery spikes!
