Big Datura plant

This ones right outside our house, its like 10 ft wide with more than 100 blooms, really spectacular when they all open at night. The blooms have an intoxicationg aroma. Of course the plant itself is intoxicating too but even though I was a big fan of the Carlos Casteneda books, Jimsonweed is a pretty dangerous trip! Not exactly what one would call a recreational high!

The Navajo have a saying about jimsonweed:

Eat a little and go to sleep.
Eat some more and have a dream.
Eat some more, and don’t wake up.

No soy por ni contra apatía.
