San Felipe Jolly Mon Steel Drum Show 8/15/09

For everyone who spends any time in San Felipe probably saw the flyers for the Steel Drum Show that was to take place this past Saturday at the Jolly Mon.

So, we bought tickets a month ago and showed up for the event Saturday evening. The show started at 7 but we arrived at 5:30 to make sure we got great seats. After a few beers and a pizza the show was about to start and the promoter gets on the microphone to announce that the steel drum player did not get his passport in time and that the Steel Drum show would not have any steel drums. They offered a refund to anyone, but in good San Felipe fashion I think only 5 folks left. A good time was had by all, from what I can remember!:?:
