Costa Del Sol has excellent aircon and fish with Jose Rosas at Samie Diaz's place.

Second Costa Del Sol. It was great last month when we were there. The AC was wonderful!

Do stay in the original rooms at Costa del Sol... their new building rooms are terrible. Food there was great and nice people run it, but the bed was a concrete slab of comfort and the shower only Dibbled (in the new building).

I doubt you will need reservations in the summer... If not Costa del Sol in town, then Guillermo's on the beach in town or the Villa Bahia which is a couple miles north of town (take the paved side road for La Gringa at the traffic circle). Raquel & Larry's is a bit further north... has been a popular motel and restaurant.

Costa Del Sol is probably the best hotel in town. Stay in the old rooms like David says - I haven't heard anything good about the new rooms yet. (The new rooms are where the 2 story building is on the other side of the parking lot.) Here is an email address for reservations: costadelsolhotel@hotmail.com

Guierrmo's isn't bad, but rates second in my book to Costa Del Sol.

Another nice hotel is Los Vientos up the road toward La Gringa. I stayed there once and really liked it.

Where ever you choose, don't even think about camping at this time of year.

I like Costa del Sol, too, but I have only stayed there when the original rooms were there.

What is the problem with the new rooms?

Well, last January 2 we stayed in Room 8 (new building) as the original rooms were occupied... concrete hard bed and terrible/ Dibble pressure shower at twice the price of Baja Cactus. The owner, food, and great dane were all great however!
