Diane, if you ever want to trade your camera...... the only way I can get shots like that is when the birds are very old. As in dead. Then it's fairly easy but I have to lean em up against something. I think the guy who does the road runner cartoons should get some kind of award because his caracature is spot on.

Very handy with that camera indeed!

Osprey, if they are stiff try a thin stick and use as a vertical skewer. Works for me.:D

Nice pics, Diane! You have to be quick on the draw to get a roadrunner.

They love raw hamburger, but once you start feeding them they keep coming back. In Desert Hot Springs they came every day for food and the tourist love to feed them. One came into the house looking for me.

We all want a peaceful world, filled with love and laughter, but we fill ourselves with anger and hate trying to fiqure out how to achive it.

No---I do not think so----this one lives on the Alaska side of the hill and was looking for all the baby lizards

But then again, when will be able to discuss this in person? Hope to see you there soon!

Love the roadrunner..A few years back we had mice in our MH.. caught them in a trap and fed them to the local roadrunner ..Watched him gobble down three...He kept coming back to see if we had more .. That was our entertainment that day!!

These guys are regular visitors at our ....

....Posada Concepcion place. If the water dish is low they just stand there until it's filled up. I've learned that the one with the red headpatch is the male. He is very calm and marches his little butt through us as we sit on the front deck. She is a bit nervous and will walk around us rather than through us. They like hotdogs...well actually weinners- no bun or mustard.

Things are expensive, but at least we get a free trip around the sun once a year
