marble/ granite sealers
Hi all,
We just installed our bathroom cabinets in and installed the countertops we got in Rosarito (Marmol Natural). Instead of the ultra- polished look we
opted for the step under that which is called honed. Turned out very nicely! The brownish granite compliments the adobe earthen plaster very well! So
much so that instead of using a wood sill in the windows (to protect the adobe) we think a piece of granite will look great (want to get the edges
bull-nosed).
BUT, what products are good for sealing granite and or marble?

This is the main bath with the marble countertop in and the talavera sinks in. We did all the tile work and plumbing ourselves (and it actually
works!!). Sometimes we think the work we did ourselves turned out better! Its when we actually listen to the "experts" that we get trouble it seems!

Home Depot in Ensenada carries granite/marble sealer, brush on - wipe off. There are also cleaning and polishing products available

From the pictures you have included, it all looks like travertine or marble (really the same thing). As I set quite a bit of tile, marble, granite
here in California the product I use is made by Miracle Sealants. For the more porous of stones or grout I use 511 Porous Plus (pricey $$) and for the
not so porous 511 Impregnator. They are both silcone based sealers and work really well although they do have a smell when applying.

We use the regular 511 for our granite and slate; works great and easy to use.
