what is the outside diameter of steel post in Baja

Does anyone know the outside diameter of the galvanized steel poles that are sold in Baja? I am looking for 2"OD poles to fit inside fittings I would bring from the states.

I plan to erect a large canopy over my RV and I don't want to carry the poles down.

Sounds like a steel fence post. Home Depot should have them and, if not, there are chain-link fence companys in Ensenada. One I know of is on HWY 1, two miles south of HD, across from the Air Base, next to Del Rio lumber yard.

I have searched HomeDepot.com.mx, but I'm unable to identify specific products. I found the US supplier of Home Depot's galvanized steel poles and located the specs. Does anyone have any idea if the same specs would be used MX?

My property is near Los Barrilles, so I would like to find something way further south than Ensenada.

Please help if you know anything about galvanized steel posts in MX.

It's still pretty much metric down here, if that's what you mean.

Diana

The galvanized post here on the golfcourse are 17/8"OD.
This should be a standard size and likely as close to an exact 2 inch as you'll come.

And they should be pretty much available in all major towns.

Thanks for all the input

I appreciate everyone's help.

If I can't get what I need in Los Barrilles, I will try Comitan's suggestion at Metalum in LaPaz. FYI here is their website: www.metalum.com.mx/donde.html.

Thanks, Comitan, hope you are well!
