Nice pictures.
From the pictures it looks like arriving early is the way to go. I arrived Saturday at 7:00 pm and there was a 20 minute line to get in. Inside it
was hard to move because it was so crowded. It only got worse as the night wore on.
Had a great time though.

Here are three more photos at the Expo:
More of the packaged food: Spicy peanuts, toasted garlic, and the grasshoppers. The white balls in the background were a fermented (and very
delicious) Monterey Jack cheese.

The alternate drink booth (notice the PULQUE) which included the tequila in the large container with a preserved rattler.

The now infamous preserved rattler. Even tough we had to pay $5.00 U.S. to taste this delicacy, it was well worth it. The third best tequila in the
place...our opinion.

Udo, just wonder which you thought was the best. I tried a few, but most of them I thought tasted similar with only a few I thought were better than
the rest.

I wanted to roll the thing home, Woooosh, but I had to show up after closing on Sunday night. Cool prize but not worth the drive from Big Bear Lake.
Just about all the tequilas were somewhat similar, Cynide41, a little more oakey, a little less oakey. And most the bottles were near the $20.00 U.S.
range. The worst one by a wide margin was the TWOBUCKCHUCK of tequilas, can you believe a $2.00 U.S. bottle? I won't even bother mentioning the name.
The two best tequilas were the DEGOLLADO, which was sold in a very heavy (furniturequality) oak box, as well as the
CARA DE ORO, which included the (literally) shirt off the server's back. Both of them I bargained down to about $60.00 U.S.
each from about $75.00, with Fernando's help.
Other than tequila, the coolest souveniers were a machined, engraved and polished aluminum oval tray that holds two shot glasses as well as a concave
spot for limes. It came from the ARETTE Tquila booth. The other one was a pair of micro-mini flasks complete with key chain from the CABRITO booth
Also available were fairly expensive tequilas in collector bottles. They are at the Expo every year, but never have their collectible tequila
available for tasting. Cool bottles, however.
IMHO, this was the best Tequila Expo so far because of the exhibitor's extras as well as other packaged items available. Lesser number of exhibitors
notwithstanding.
