Great pictures. Where were they taken?

Diane,

I don't know why you are having trouble. ?????

Oggie,

The first two were taken at last year's Dia de los Muertos celebration in Old Town in San Diego. The last shot was taken at a shop in Ensenada.

My photos are from a few years ago when we were living in Punta Banda. We made our own alter on our buffet with candles, photos of our loved ones and watercolors that Cody painted for them. We visited Pan-Sima to buy pastries and bread for our display.

Cody strung marigolds for our visit to the local cemetary in Cantu.

We had already found the only American buried there at the time, cleaned up his grave, dusted off his baseball hat and replaced it on his headstone, and replaced the old Budweiser that was left there a long time ago with a cold freshie. (can't find any of those photos on my computer)

The children of the local rural school set up an alter on their playground.

They remembered "Bill", a wonderful man who had passed that year. He used to play Santa for the children every year at Christmas, riding in on the back of the local firetruck. He and his wife, who is also passed now, would have a gift for every child. It was very heart touching. I'm sure the children miss them.
